Welcome to the GoinGreenHome website! Learn along with me as I learn from my green home building adventure.

I hope to use this web site to chronicle my green home building experience, to share what I’ve learned, and to inspire others. If you are thinking about your own green building adventure, I hope that this web site will help move you to action. If you have already embarked on a green building adventure, I hope that you find the web site to be useful.

This web site has been ‘under development’ since early 2007 and formally launched in October 2007. I plan to add things as the actual building process goes along; I will also be adding stuff to the site retroactively to help complete a picture of the entire process.

If you’d like to comment on any blog postings for share your green building thoughts and experiences, please click on the Login link and register tab, then follow the instructions. (I moderate the site to filter out the spambots which are constantly assaulting web pages like this one.)

Enjoy, and let me know what you think about the site and the adventure!

John

Blog | Energy Systems/Efficiency | Exterior Design | Structure | Sustainable Design | The Process

I'm back again documenting the process. A lot to catch up on. Briefly, it appears that the house requires re-design in order to be built within my target budget. Longer story behind that, but that's for later.

2/11/08: A Quick, Incomplete Update

Blog | News | The Process

Here is a quick, incomplete update on the progress of my green home: there is a LOT going on with regards to the process, but I haven't been posting here for the past few months because I don't want to risk negatively influencing the process even though there hasn't been much traffic to the site.
